SAIG-Advanced.
SAIG-Advanced is the advanced certificate for those who must translate AI literacy into policy, governance, supervision, risk management or organisation-wide implementation. It is designed for those accountable for ensuring responsible AI use by others.
What a SAIG-Advanced holder demonstrates.
A holder can organise, assess and embed responsible AI use at organisational level. Specifically:
- Translates the requirements of the AI Act into concrete organisational policy
- Sets up governance, roles and escalation routes for responsible AI use
- Assesses the risks of AI systems and weighs mitigating measures
- Drives demonstrability: documentation, audits and management reporting
- Guides and assesses the AI literacy of employees and teams
- Advises the board and management on compliance and accountability
Who is SAIG-Advanced for?
- Managers, AI Officers and programme owners
- Compliance officers, lawyers and data protection officers
- HR professionals and trainers who guide others
- Policymakers and directors with safeguarding responsibility
- Developers and procurers (providers) with lifecycle responsibility
How to obtain it.
Hold SAIG-Practitioner or equivalent prior knowledge
Practitioner is the preferred route. Candidates with demonstrable equivalent prior knowledge may request an APL procedure with SAIG's board.
Take an accredited SAIG-Advanced training
The training covers the full Advanced curriculum, including governance and policy casework. Typical duration: two to three days.
Complete the assessment with case defence
Knowledge test, policy case and an oral defence before an assessor panel. On a sufficient result, entry into the public register follows.
How assessment works.
The Advanced assessment measures strategic and organisational judgement. Three parts:
- Knowledge test. In-depth digital test on legislation, governance and risk management. Duration ≈ 60 minutes.
- Policy case. Elaboration of an organisation-wide implementation or governance issue, marked against fixed rubrics.
- Oral defence. Explanation and defence of the case before an assessor panel, with assessor calibration.
Valid for 24 months.
SAIG-Advanced is valid for 24 months. Recertification is carried out via continuing education with emphasis on new legislation, supervisory developments and governance practice.
